'09 월드 베이스볼 클래식' 선수 데이터가 반영된 야구게임인 '실황 파워풀 메이저리그 2009'가 오는 4월 29일 국내 출시된다.
PS2용 '실황 파워풀 메이저리그 2009'는 코나미의 인기 야구게임 시리즈인 '실황 파워풀'의 메이저리그 버전 최신작이다.
이번 작의 특징은 3월, 한국을 뜨겁게 했던 '월드 베이스볼 클래식'모드를 탑재했다는 것이다. 게임에는 '류현진', '김광현', '봉중근' 등 09년 WBC에 참가했던 대한민국 대표팀 선수의 실제 이름과 당시 선수 데이터가 그대로 반영된 것이 돋보인다. 또한, 09 WBC 출전팀의 유니폼과 미국 각지의 경기장과 '투구수 제한', '타이브레이크 제도'등 실제 대회 규정을 반영했다.
게임은 본 게임외에도 선수 육성모드인 '석세스 모드'를 담고 있으며 파워풀 프로야구 시리즈에 익숙치 않은 초보 유저를 위해 가이드북이 동봉되어 판매될 예정이다.
